As a resident of EO for more than 5 years, I'm saddened by the amount of garbage I see accumulating each day. It bothers me that there are no initiatives to keep our city clean especially since ZERO trash cans exist within any block I turn to. People do not have the drive to want this city clean, but I know, it is only partially the problem. We need greener solutions aided by the local government. I advocate for the installation of garbage bins similar to our neighboring towns like South Orange and Montclair on every radius of this city. The models used are even solar-powered which can be a bigger environmental investment return for the city. If said idea proceeds, education and reinforcement should naturally follow to both school children who amass after school and aid to the problem of growing trash, and to our visitors/neighbors. If we improve the aesthetic of our town, people will feel more empowered and inclined to keep doing the right thing.

The "seeclickfix" website/app has worked incredibly well for residents of towns like Jersey City and Newark. While living in EO I have noticed that reporting non-emergency issues such as a public post light being burnt or missed trash pick up do not get resolved, the see click fix app allows both for the user and the city to tackle issues efficiently while showing both parties the steps being taken in completing the task in virtual form. This is important because the community can virtually see how the city is fixing issues by the updates showing through the app until a "case" is closed
