2022 City Council Chairman
COUNCILMAN CHRISTOPHER
AWE was selected by the East Orange City Council to fill a vacancy in the Second Ward caused by the resignation of Councilman Romal D. Bullock and sworn into office on Monday, July 2, 2018. He was elected at the
Tuesday, November 8, 2018 General Election to fill the unexpired term of
Councilman Romal D. Bullock.
COUNCILMAN
CHRISTOPHER AWE is the 2020 Chairman of the Finance Committee and has also chaired the Planning and Grants Committee. He has served as a
Member of the Arts, Recreation & Cultural Affairs, Business Development
& Zoning, Housing Licensing & Inspection, Law & Legislation and the
Public Works Committees.

CHRISTOPHER AWE is a life-long resident of the City of East Orange. He has served on several campaign committees in the City and has been a
member of the East Orange Democratic County Committee for several years. He has served as the Second Ward Chairman for
eight years. Councilman Awe is an active
member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, the International Free and
Accepted Masons and the Urban League of Essex County Young Professionals.
